Flounder Gigging Trip Rates

• Flounder limit: 5 per person

You’ll board close to sunset, and the captain will let you know prior to the trip date, with where to meet and the time for departure. Trips leave from different locations around sunset and last 4-5 hours.

Children under the age of 6 tend to get tired as we fish into the night, so please consider this when booking your trip. 

Larger Groups: Capt. James has access to multiple boats. Please schedule a month in advance, when possible, thank you!

You’ll have access to multiple Coastal Bend bays, including Corpus Christi, Copano, Aransas, Baffin, Mesquite, St. Charles, San Antonio, Redfish, Mission, and Alazan. Capt. James teaches you how to gig flounder quickly and safely, with Black Drum, Sheepshead, or Gar as occasional bonus catches. 

 Safety is "Priority One" when you fish with Capt. James.  He is First Aid Certified and has a well-stocked First Aid Kit on board for every trip. GPS and a fully charged cell phone are on board at all times.  

Flounder are available year‑round, except in November when gigging is closed and trips target Sheepshead and Black Drum. During the first two weeks of December, the limit is two flounder per person during their migration run. 

By early spring, flounder return to the bays and strong fishing continues throughout the year. Capt. James’ deep knowledge of the Coastal Bend gives you more options and better success on every trip.

NOTE: A Texas fishing license with a Saltwater Stamp is required to fish from this boat. Licenses are available at Academy, Dick’s, Bass Pro Shops, Walmart, H‑E‑B, and local Rockport tackle shops.

Please arrive on time. The Capt. James will provide your meeting location and trip details in advance. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may be marked as a no‑show.
