About Your Trip

Capt. James Knows!

Capt. James works hard for every customer and takes real pride in delivering the perfect experience. He’s been fishing since he was a boy, and that lifelong passion still drives him today. The weather may change, but a true professional will always find the fish.

Raised with a strong, honest work ethic by his dad and uncle, he brings that same dedication to every trip he takes, and he gladly shares his knowledge with anyone eager to learn!

A Great Teacher!

Once you know what to do—and with Capt. James’ clear, patient instructions—you’ll be singing his praises too. He makes the whole experience fun, relaxing and surprisingly easy, even for first‑timers.

Note: You may occasionally gig Black Drum, Sheepshead, or Gar, depending on the weather and water conditions, but the star of the show is always the Flounder. It’s one of the best‑tasting fish in the world, and Capt. James knows exactly how to put you on them!

It's a Fun Trip for all!

NOTE: A Texas fishing license with a Saltwater Stamp is required to fish from this boat. Licenses are available at Academy, Dick’s, Bass Pro Shops, Walmart, H‑E‑B, and local Rockport tackle shops.

Please arrive on time. The Captain will provide your meeting location and trip details in advance. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may be marked as a no‑show.

To confirm your booking, please call the Capt. James with your card information. If you prefer to mail a check or money order, please send it to:

Capt. James Parbst    252 N. Rife St    Aransas Pass, TX 78336

A Word About Flounder!

Flounder are caught year‑round. The only exception is November, when flounder gigging is closed and we target Sheepshead and Black Drum instead—both delicious and fun to gig.

During the first two weeks of December, the limit is 2 flounder per person as they make their migration run, when they’re at their biggest.  By early spring (March), flounder return to the bays, and the great fishing continues for the rest of the year!
